When Dee was a girl, she followed her grandfather to his bee yard in Pennsylvania. She marveled at how the bees built up the honey comb and how her fearless grandfather handled the bees without fear of being stung.
She knew one day she too, would be a beekeeper. When Dee and her husband Bruce finally bought their dream farm in Palmer, Alaska, Dee decided to pollinate her crops with bees.
Once she harvested her first crop of honey in Palmer, she realized she had a lot of cappings (beeswax mixed with honey) and didn’t want it to go to waste. So instead she designed her first moisturizing cream. And that was the beginning of the Abeille Alaska product line. Dee’s goal is to create outstanding, small-farm, natural products that enhance the everyday life of her customers.
