“O” Farming
We have an abiding dedication to farming practices that enrich the soil and productivity without the sue of herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. We call this Zero Farming: zero herbicides, zero pesticides, and zero synthetic fertilizers.
Soil Structure
The use of a walking tractor and timely hoeing enables us to maintain the soil structure. Through practices which tread lightly on the soil, we are able to avoid soil compaction and over-tilling while increasing soil structure and nutrient availability for our crops.
Healthy Soil and Healthy Plants
We test our soil and improve soil fertility when necessary by using compost and specially prepared soil blocks for seedlings. These practices result in field grown plants that are especially strong and healthy. They develop firm, vitamin-rich vegetables that are neither woody nor watery and flowers with strong stems and long vase life.
